Doll Collecting: HELLO DOLLY...We're Here to Tell You All Ab out Dolls
Anonymous writes "HELLO DOLLY!….we are about to tell you all about DOLLS.
THE ENGINEER GUY announces the next Seminar on August 25, 2007, Saturday. This seminar will be about the process of making DOLL heads. It is an art form and you will be delighted at the presentation. (The Engineer Guy, not being narcissistic, refuses having a replica of him made for art sake). The seminar will take place between 10 AM and 1 PM. The seminar will be conducted by Debra Romero of Old World St. Nicks Company. Ms. Romero is an accomplished doll maker and has honed her craft over a ten year period. She is to be featured in the fall issue of “Doll Reader Magazine”. Her work has been profiled in “Doll Magazine” as well as the table top book “Christmas Dolls”. (On the other hand, The Engineer Guy has been featured in ‘Lost in Space” as well as its sequel “Lost in Time”). The artist, hand sculpts the original doll heads for reproduction, develops the fabric patterns and accessories and engineered a tailored armature expressly to fit the dolls. Ms. Romero will reproduce a doll head via a rubber mold. She will make a resin replica of the original. Further, there will be instruction for doll aficionados as to construction of armatures. View Ms. Romano’s web sites: Bring your questions, concerns, triumphs and mistakes and share. Cost: $25.00 (A Continental Breakfast will be available)
Reservations are necessary and can be made at: 404.685.8804 THE ENGINEER GUY 1439 Mayson Street NE Atlanta, GA 30324 404.685.8804
